Australian Immigration Case Officer

The Australian Embassy has vacancy for the positions of Australian Immigration Case Officer (Part time, three days per week). The person we seek must possess an ability to work independently and as part of a small team, possess a dynamic character, be flexible and have the capacity to operate within a regulatory environment. Applicants must be fluent in both English and Lao and possess proven written and oral communication skills in both languages. You will need to have very good interpersonal and liaison skills and have the ability to communicate effectively. The successful applicant will have well-developed organisational skills, experience working in an office environment and/ or be a university graduate preferably in a related field and be computer literate. She/he will also have initiative, be able to focus on priorities, meet deadlines and work well in a team situation with limited supervision. An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate based on experience and qualifications. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing Technical Cooperation Project in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports, namely “Community Initiatives for Education Development Project (CIEDII)” in Champasack, Savannakhet, Salavane, Sekong Province. The Project aims to improve primary education in the target schools as to support the achievement of Education for All (EFA) goals. The Project seeks eligible applicant as Secretary for JICA Expert in Champasack Education and Sports Service (PES), in Pakse, Champasack Province.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Lao National
- University/College graduate
- Working experience for more than 2 years
- Capable for English-Lao-English Translation
- Computer skill (word, excel)
- Official letter writing in Lao
Remark: Frequent field trip to Champasack, Savannakhet, Salavane, and Sekong Province is required.
