JICA (CDSWC II)-Vacancy

“Capacity Development for Sector-wide Coordination in Health Phase II (CDSWC-II)” is now looking for a Project Assistant for the JICA-funded project. CDSWC-II is a five-year project started in December 2010 in order to strengthen the capacity of the health sector in Lao PDR in the coordination of various efforts and interventions both by the Government and the Development Partners.
POSITION IN VACANT: PROJECT ASSISTANT (1 Position)
DUTY STATION: Project office close to Ministry of health, Vientiane
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Perform a wide range of office support functions. Translation and interpretation from
Pasa Lao to English, and vice versa, will be a major task.
 Assist in logistical and operational support to the project, including travel arrangement,
responding to calls and visitors, acceptance of Japanese experts, preparing and
supporting meetings/workshops/seminars, preparing official documents, and translation
 Assist in office management, including management of office equipment/supplies,
inventory of the project assets, project documents filing both in electronic and hard
copies
 Assist in project financial management
 Provide supports for matters related to JICA activities,
 Liaising with the Ministry of Health for project implementation
CONTRACT TYPE: 6 months renewable
UALIFICATIONS:
 Good verbal and written communication skills in English
 Computer literacy
 High motivation and willingness to learn new things
 Strong interest in international development assistance
 Good interpersonal Communication skill and good team spirit
 Work experience in a similar position
